Our sections and what they offer
Girlguiding in Okehampton provides a progressive programme tailored to different age groups. From learning to work together to embarking on exciting adventures, every section offers a unique and enriching experience for girls and young women.
Rainbows
For girls aged 4-7 years, Rainbows offers a wonderful introduction to Girlguiding. They learn to work together, develop new skills, and enjoy adventures like sleepovers and activities with other groups, experiencing the full Guiding journey from a young age.
Brownies
Brownies is for girls aged 7-10 years. They continue to learn teamwork and new skills, expanding on the foundations built in Rainbows. Brownies enjoy more adventurous activities, sleepovers, and opportunities to interact with other groups, fostering a rich Guiding experience.
Guides
Guides caters to girls aged 10-14 years. Here, they develop essential skills, learn to work collaboratively, and cultivate independence. Guides have numerous opportunities for exciting activities, residential events, and unique experiences that broaden their horizons.

Rangers
Rangers is for young women aged 14-18 years. This section focuses on further developing skills, leadership, and independence. Rangers are given plenty of opportunities for exciting activities, extensive residential events, and unique experiences that prepare them for future challenges.
